How to Replace Ink

HOW TO REFILL YOUR PEN

Classic Slimline Ballpoint Pen

  • Pull apart the top and bottom sections
  • Unscrew the black plastic end
  • Remove cartridge
  • Insert new Cross-Compatible ink refill
  • Turn to right to tighten ink into place
  • Push top and bottom sections back together

Sierra Click Ballpoint Pen

  • Unscrew bottom and top sections
  • Pull out cartridge, along with spring
  • On some pens, remove chrome stem extender located at the top of the ink cartridge
  • Place chrome extender on your new Parker Compatible refill
  • Put new refill into pen with spring you removed from old ink cartridge
  • Place top and bottom together and tighten into place

Sierra and Virage Twist Ballpoint Pens

  • Hold tight to both halves of the pen and pull apart
  • Unscrew the silver transmission on the top of the writing half
  • Remove the refill, being careful to save the spring to mount on the new refill
  • Place spring on new Parker Compatible and place into pen
  • Screw the transmission back in place
  • Press the two halves of the pen together

Aero/Majestic Squire/Bolt Action Stylus Ballpoint Pens

  • Unscrew the tip
  • Remove old refill, including spring
  • Place spring on new Parker Compatible refill
  • Insert new refill and screw tip back on the pen

Rollerball Pens

  • Unscrew nib assembly
  • Replace refill
  • Reinstall nib assembly
  • Make sure the spring stays inside the body

Fountain Pens

Cartridge

  • Unscrew the nib assembly
  • Insert the ink cartridge “nipple” end onto the nib assembly and push on firmly
  • Scribble with the pen nib assembly to start the ink flowing
  • You may have to GENTLY squeeze the sides of the ink cartridge to start it flowing to the nib
  • Continue to “scribble” holding the pen at the same angle you would use to write with it
  • The ink will start to flow after a minute or so, don’t be impatient
  • When the written lines fill completely, you are ready to use your pen
  • Screw the nib section (with the refill in place) back into the pen body

Converter Pump

  • Remove the nib assembly
  • Insert the open end of the pump firmly onto the nipple in the top end of the nib section
  • Be sure the seal is properly installed onto the nib section to prevent leaks
  • Turn the ribbed piston handle gently until the piston is at the end bottom toward the nib
  • Immerse the nib (but not the pen body) entirely into your ink bottle
  • Turn the piston handle clockwise to draw the ink up into the pump
  • Clean the nib and bottom of the feed with a soft cloth

LADIES’ PENS

Diva Pen

  • Pull off top cap of pen and unscrew cartridge
  • Pull out ink, including spring
  • Place spring on new Parker-Compatible refill
  • Insert in pen, top with cartridge and tighten
  • Push cap back into place

Princess Pen

  • Unscrew top cap of pen
  • Pull out ink, including spring
  • Place spring on new Parker-Compatible refill
  • Insert ink and spring into pen
  • Top with cap and tighten into place

Duchess Pen

  • Pull off top cap of pen
  • Unscrew Cartridge
  • Pull out ink and replace with Cross Compatible Refill
  • Tighten refill into place
  • Push cap back into place

Duchess Necklace Pen

  • Pull off top cap of pen
  • Unscrew Cartridge
  • Pull out ink and replace with Cross Compatible Mini Refill
  • Tighten refill into place
  • Push cap back into place

BULLET PENS

30 Cal Brass Plated Click & Twist Pens

  • Unscrew the tip and remove old refill, including spring
  • Place spring on new Parker Compatible refill
  • Insert new refill and screw tip back on the pen

Spent Bullet Pens (50 Cal, 30.06, 308, …)

  • Pull apart the top and bottom sections
  • Unscrew the black plastic end
  • Remove cartridge
  • Insert new Cross-Compatible ink refill
  • Turn to right to tighten ink into place
  • Push top and bottom sections back together

Civil War Replica Pen

  • Unscrew the tip and remove old refill, including spring
  • Place spring on new Parker Compatible refill
  • Insert new refill and screw tip back on the pen

Over & Under Shotgun Replica Rollerball

  • Unscrew the tip and remove old refill
  • Insert new Rollerball refill and screw tip back on the pen
